The Augustine Institute has produced many great series. One of those series is Beloved: Finding Happiness In Marriage. In this part of the series the couple learns a little about the theology of the sacrament in which they are about to enter. Matrimony is a sacrament of grace.
In this particular series the focus moves from learning the theology of the mystery and meaning of marriage to address some practical things to help couples better prepared as they enter into the sacrament.
If you look carefully over the material found on Formed.org, one will notice that the program Beloved can not only be used for couples preparing for marriage but also for married couples to enrich marriage.
For couples preparing for marriage, we invite them to engage their parents as they prepare for the sacrament of matrimony. While couples do have the opportunity to work with the clergy or mentor couples, engaged couples should also include their own families in the process. As your parents accompanied you as you grew older, allowing them to be a part of your formation is not only benefical to you but can also be benefical for them.
Marriage is more than the decorations, the dresses, and the party...marriage is a sacrament of grace that when truly lived is life giving both physically and spiritually. Take some time to learn what the sacrament of matrimony is all about.
Here is the audio of a talk given by Jason Evert. I would encourage couples preparing for marriage to take some time to listen to it carefully as you prepare for the big day.
